Pharmacy has come a long way since the early 1900's. We currently enjoy a state of the art pharmacy computer system that keeps us on the cutting edge of technology. We can fax your physicians directly from our computer for prescription renewals and they can now use a new secure method of prescribing called E-Script. This technology allows your physician to send your prescriptions directly to our computer where they are filled and await your pick-up.

Jake Fawcett and his partner started Fawcett's Pharmacy in 1906. The original pharmacy, that Jake and his partner started, was located at 546 S. Main St. Jake's son, Charlie Fawcett, took over the business in the 1930's. Later, after years of successful business, it was sold to James Small who owned and operated the pharmacy for 30 years at the 611 S. Main St. location.

In May of 2007 the Pharmacy was moved it to its present location at 519 S. Main St., home of the former Eckdahl's Clothing Store. We are proud to continue to uphold the great customer service on which this business was founded upon many years ago.

Dave Bowman, R.Ph.

Dave grew up with pharmacy, as his father was a pharmacist in Ottawa. Graduating from Drake University in DesMoines, same as his father and his sister, Dave has had a variety of experiences in pharmacy, but his favorite has always been community pharmacy.

Dave and his wife live in a country subdivision south of Ottawa. He enjoys the drive to Princeton, especially Route 71 through Starved Rock State Park. He is happy to join the friendly staff at Fawcett's Pharmacy, as we are happy to have him join our team.  "Why fill prescriptions at a big Box store?"
